ONE-YEAR INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE
Who is the course for?

The course is dedicated to candidates who wish to commence their study in year at KSW. During the first two semesters students take the intensive English language course.

The aim of the course is to prepare students to study in English.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AFTER THE COURSE

The course starts with learning basic vocabulary and grammar. Particular emphasis is put on language production and simple academic texts comprehension (written and oral).

During the course students learn how to write texts of different kind.

Students learn how to make notes, understand popular-science texts, make use of professional literature, write summaries and prepare oral presentations.

 

AFTER THE COURSE YOU WILL:

  • express freely your opinion in English,
  • speak fluently not only about everyday matters and different topics,
  • write letters, e-mails, notes, essays, and reports,

MBA (Master of Business Administration)

 studies at Kujawska Szkoła Wyższa in Włocławek are intended for  management, members of statutory bodies of commercial law companies and the State Treasury, directors of commercial companies, managers or those who want to hold managerial positions in the future in order to make the best use of their knowledge and skills in various business areas.

The presented subjects of the MBA  Studies program result from the needs of managerial practice and are implemented by outstanding and experienced practitioners from Poland and abroad in the case study system. Completion of the MBA postgraduate studies gives the right to sit on the supervisory bodies of state-owned companies and state-owned legal persons (Article 19, section 1, point 1 letter c of the Act of 16 December 2016 on the principles of state property management).

The MBA  program is implemented through the use of remote and full-time learning techniques, it allows you to effectively supplement your academic education and develop practical management and supervisory skills anywhere and anytime. Lectures, exercises, seminars, workshops and webinars in the form of the best quality as part of the MBA  study modules are conducted by outstanding lecturers and practitioners. Didactic materials (presentations, tests and tasks) are available on the modern KSW e-learning platform.

Our target is: preparing students to provide high-quality care for healthy and sick people in their place of residence and in health care institutions stimulating the comprehensive development of students, developing sensitivity to the needs of other people and preparing them for permanent improvement developing students’ analytical and critical thinking skills to enhance care outcomes creating an atmosphere of cooperation, sharing achievements, responsibility for the quality of the team and for raising the profile of the profession, preparing students to conduct research in nursing in order to enrich professional theory and practice, as well as research development and their professional development.

Full-time studies in nursing are addressed to people who do not have professional preparation. In the field of nursing, we offer foreign language learning in an extended dimension.

 NURSING HAS ACCREDITATION OF THE MINISTER OF HEALTH FOR 5 YEARS AND ACCREDITATION OF THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION FOR 5 YEARS

First-cycle studies last  6 semesters. The number of hours of classes and internships should not be less than 4815. The number of ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) points should not be less than 180. The diploma examination, after submitting the diploma thesis, should include checking the knowledge and practical skills. The university may implement the program without the participation of an academic teacher in the group of basic content for 15 hours and in the group of major content for 30 hours in each field.

 Practical training

 The development of practical skills is carried out in natural and simulated conditions (nursing skills laboratories, specialist laboratories). Practical training is carried out on the basis of the university’s own database and in medical enterprises on the basis of concluded contracts. Practical classes and apprenticeships are carried out in the wards of the Provincial Hospital in Włocławek and other regional hospitals, as well as in home, community and school nursing centers and hospices. Practical classes are carried out under the direction and direct supervision of an academic teacher. Apprenticeships are carried out under the supervision of a person conducting the practice (a nurse), an employee of a given company of a medical entity. Supervision over the implementation of apprenticeships is exercised by the tutor of apprenticeships at the university. During practical education – practical classes and professional practice – in the field of basic nursing care and specialist care, a first-cycle student acquires skills including: independent practice of the profession in accordance with the principles of general and professional ethics as well as a holistic and individualized approach to the patient, respecting and respecting his rights; recognizing the patient’s health conditions and needs; promoting health and health education of individuals and social groups; recognizing patient care problems; planning and providing patient care; independent provision of preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation services in a specific scope, as well as performing medical rescue activities; undertaking cooperation with members of the therapeutic team in the process of prevention, diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation and nursing; independent adjudication on the type and scope of care and nursing services; organizing a hospital and home care environment; organizing and planning work at one’s own workplace; preparing the patient for self-care and the caregiver for patient care.

Conditions of graduation and obtaining professional title

A bachelor’s degree in nursing is obtained by a graduate of first-cycle studies in the field of nursing, who: 1) in terms of knowledge, has: a) detailed knowledge of nursing, b) general knowledge of other medical sciences, c) knowledge of legal regulations, ethical standards and deontology relating to the practice of the nursing profession; 2) in terms of skills is able to: a) use current knowledge to ensure safety and a high level of care, b) provide services in the field of promoting, maintaining health and preventing diseases, c) provide comprehensive and individualized care for a disabled and dying patient, d) independently practice the profession, in accordance with the principles of general and professional ethics and a holistic approach to the patient, taking into account respect and respect for his rights, e) organize his/her own work; establish cooperation in healthcare teams.
